food tour - east side of singapore

i've been given strict orders to post the photos asap.. so here goes.. the attendees are... *drum roll pls*... cherie, rhys, shanli, ben, steph and me.. our initial first stop was the bak chor mee, which somehow was closed.. so we went straight to upper east coast road!!


here's katong laksa from stall 49.. with the macro-otak, which is not that macro after all.. and lime juice and barley..


somehow.. i don't exactly know how, we walked through some shopping centre and ended up in parkway parade!! and this was what ben recommended: the watery fried kway tiao.. with extra water, of course!!


and there's chwee kueh.. with chilli on the side for ppl like rhys and me..


here's ben's banana leaf fried prawn noodle.. but nobody knew what happened to the banana leaf.. that's all that was served to us..


mee rebus from parkway parade shopping centre food court.. erm, dun ask me for the correct name of the shopping centre.. yupz!!! mee rebus for $3.20 and beancurd for $1.10.. but the beancurd has no beancurd water, but just plain syrup..


ice kachang!! we should sing the ice kachang song too!! steph and me attacked the red region, while cherie attacked the brown one.. and rhys complained why we left the green side for him and shanli..


we had to give credit to the you tiao here too.. so we got rhys to pose with all the food.. but rhys != eat everything.. we helped too..


and here's the girls who went.. the guys didn't want to take photos.. and ben left early to go home.. so the next food tour will be to the north side of singapore and finally an outing to the central too..

oh!! movie alert!! keep 19th july evening totally free.. coz we are gonna watch 'pirates of the caribbean - dead man's chest'.. we will watch it either at ps or at cathey.. so keep it free.. it will be an evening movie at abt 730 plus.. so till then!!
